My First Movie Review, Aged 7 Weeks (And 1 Day)

After being inside mom for so many months, I was keen to experience the movies for myself, instead of just hearing them while I was being preparing for my big screen debut. We all went this afternoon to Alice in Wonderland, yet another Tim Burton/Johnny Depp collaboration (I have it on good assurance that they've worked together a bunch of times).

I liked it! And don't forget I have absolutely no frame of reference when it comes to cinema. But I should confess that when I say "like", that really means that I slept through it. Tim/Johnny: If you're reading this, please don't be offended: I'M SEVEN WEEKS (AND ONE DAY) OLD! WHAT DID YOU EXPECT ME TO DO? Ahem, sorry about the yelling (it's what I do). And that was the only real alternative - crying my way through your intricately plotted tale of young Alice and her friends, spun out in that typically colorful, creative fashion of yours (dad told me that bit). And trust me: nobody wanted tears. Not you, and certainly not the audience.

I can't wait to catch up with the rest of your oeuvre (sorry, dad again) and mom kept repeating the word "Beetlejuice" on the way home. She's funny like that. So I've given it some thought and am happy to give your movie two thumbs up if, you know, I knew what thumbs actually were.

Thanks for introducing me to movies!

Yours,

Alex S. Levy
