Pictures and update...(more nostalgia)

Jess left, Glen went back to work...and Alex and I were left to fend for ourselves...and to clarify, Glen does not wear yammers to work.

We are doing just fine and Oscar fever helped us get through it...I watched it for the immediate red carpet nostalgia that occurs while on the red carpet. (e.g. Ryan Seacrest asking his co-presenters, 'Sooooo, what's your favorite moment?' 10 minutes after arriving. Yeesh)
Lee came over to watch and hang out-- she has the best word to describe patoots...'Squidgy'. Yup, newborns are squidgy and Alex is no different...
As for growing, some more pictures with Aileen (great visit) and Alex is already outgrowing his first baseball uniform.(thanks, again Edith!) Not to worry, there is another baseball themed outfit and cap in the drawer for when he grows a bit more! (thanks, susan!)
I also wanted to see how big he was in comparison to a rattle and remote control. Good stuff.

Also, some videos from the past week of visits, bouncy chairs, and of course, swaddling.

Aunt Jess

Wow-- what a visit from amazing Aunt Jess. He laughed, he cried, he bathed, wore clothes (as per previous post)...she took care of him, she let us sleep, broke some stuff, it was so fun! We kept so busy -- we had visitors left and right, we went on an outing or two, it was just great. Some photos below so you can all feel the Aunty (or Ahhhnty) love..ooh, an idea for a blog offshoot-- AuntOrAhhnt....
We miss her but wait until Alex meets Uncle Jeremy and Cousin Leah. Wow. And coming up this month... Grandma Linda and Grandpa Saul!

Looky likey...

'Still they're cousins...identical cousins and you'll find..they laugh alike, they walk alike, at times they even talk alike -- you can lose your mind...' (yes, I watched too much Nick at Nite/Patty Duke)

I don't know, I think they look alike here...
Leah(at 3 weeks old)? or Alex? Or is this a case of babies looking alike when asleep generally?

Battle of Wills...

Who will win? It's not about winning-- we had fun.

Clothes Horse...

AUNT JESS IS HERE!!!!
Alex is really growing up-- we went out yesterday and did all sorts of things. This required Alex to wear actual clothing! No, he doesn't just hang around nekkid but he usually wears yammers. (pjs) So here he is...in a lovely outfit. (courtesy of Emmanuelle)

Results to contest: You all spoil me...

I thought Alex spoiled me because he's so cute and such a good boy. However, what an overwhelming response to the caption contest. I'll be very English with the outcome: It's a draw! You're all winners as I've told most non-anonymous participants in private and asked that you keep that a secret.

This might be anticlimactic but if you're very upset and too competitive to accept this decision, direct all complaints to Glen.

Keep your eyes peeled for more caption contests and guest bloggers. AUNT JESS IS ON HER WAY!!! Can you imagine?

Cross post promotion...(or nostalgia for 1-2 weeks ago)

Take a backseat, 'ouchside', we went outside today! (see post here to refresh your memory of one of our first outings). Lee and others (Nicole and her three month old, Siena) came by and then we all went to Portobello Road for... wait for it...falafel! He wore his tough guy hat (thanks, Cole!) for the gritty streets of London and all was well!

It was so good to be out and the falafel was delicious yet different from our Parisian falafel outing (see video here to refresh your memory-- Alex was 'there' dancing via womb)

Then we went back inside for some peace and quiet.

After the fabulous falafel, it was high time for consummate coffee, courtesy of Cafe Lisboa, surely the best Portugese pastry place in London. Perhaps if they're reading this, some of their delicious goods will be sent over...
